We read The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan as a class read-aloud. We decided it might be fun to track Percy's Quest from his beginning at Camp Half-Blood on Long Island to finding the entrance to the Underworld in Los Angeles. We used exact locations and clues from the book to guide our thinking. Some places are very much real (i.e. The Gateway Arch) and some places are a result of making inferences (i.e the diner in Denver where Percy meets Ares). We hope you have as much fun viewing this map as we did making it.
If you click on the "view Percy's Quest in a larger map" below the map, you might be able to navigate the map a little easier. Plus you would get the added fun of seeing the "street view" of some of the places we marked.
Also, if you have read the book and seen the movie, you might agree with us that the book was "WAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY better" than the movie.
